Sergei Myasoyedov

Head of Blast Furnace Shop

Sergei holds a degree fr om the MIS&S National University of Science and Technology.

He started his career as a Blast Furnace Keeper and progressed all the way to Head of the Blast Furnace Shop. Sergei joined Novolipetsk during his final year of university and was promoted to Stove Tender within a year.

He has worked as shift foreman in all blast furnaces and shifts of Blast Furnace Shop No. 1, gaining considerable experience in both technical matters and communicating with people. Today, he oversees 576 employees at the BF Shop.

Sergei says that while at first he felt he did not have enough practical knowledge. He took every opportunity to learn something, and the knowledge he has acquired comes in handy: it’s easier to get the lay of the land when dealing with the wide range of issues that arise. He believes that there is nothing better for success than to be as professional as you can.

“My number one priority is to build a close-knit team: joint effort and collaboration are essential if you want to reach the heights. A supportive, close-knit team working towards a common goal, wh ere everyone is ready to help a colleague, can respond to any challenge”, he said. “The path to success is smoother if you display the greatest professionalism possible, so training should continue even when you have already achieved a lot.”
