Forbes Magazine ranked NLMK Group in the leading Platinum group of best employers in Russia. This makes NLMK one of 26 Russian companies to be awarded the Platinum rank.

NLMK Group’s projects, implemented as part of the Clean Air Initiative, have significantly improved the quality of air in the city of Lipetsk. Emission reductions across the site’s major sources exceeded the original plan by 2.5 times.

NLMK Group has successfully achieved all key objectives as part of its Environmental Strategy 2023, reducing specific atmospheric emissions by 13%, increasing waste processing rate to 96% (recycling of secondary resources at 99%), and cutting discharges into water bodies in half.

NLMK Group transitioned to an advanced IT system for process management in its steelmaking operations, an MES. The MES enables planning and control of steel production, from the making of hot metal to the shipment of slabs to customers or into downstream processing.

NLMK Group was ranked in the top 30 best employers among Russian major companies, according to HeadHunter, an online recruitment service. NLMK also came first place for HR process maturity and was named among top 3 industrial companies.

NLMK Group has increased truck shipments of metal products from its Logistics Centre at NLMK Lipetsk to 1 million tonnes per year.
