Construction of a new boiler house at NLMK Ural in Revda

A new boiler house was commissioned, with Viessmann steam and hot water boilers, in order to boost the efficiency of using natural gas heat at the NLMK Ural site in Revda.
The new boiler house replaced the old one, which provided steam, heat, and hot water for consumers on the site, but had significant deficiencies:
- Steam heat energy generated in the boiler was partially emitted into the atmosphere.
- The boiler house was only equipped with steam boilers, meaning network water for heating and hot water supply was prepared via transforming heat energy from water steam to heating water using network heat exchangers.
This project increased the efficiency of natural gas use to 93%.
Investment totalled RUB 140.2 million. The payback period was 2.9 years.
The project was finalized in September 2019.
